About the Well Child Visit
Woodcreek Pediatrics - Mary Bridge Children's provides primary medical care for your child in a way that evaluates the entire picture of infant and adolescent growth and development. The Well Child visit is an opportunity for your pediatrician to monitor your child's growth and for you to address any questions or concerns about your child's behavior, development or general well-being. The well child visit is commonly used as a time to determine how much your child has grown, discuss topics such as eating, sleeping, toilet training, social development, vaccinations and learning. Having regular well child visits with your pediatrician and discussing the concerns that matter to you are important to us and help your pediatrician know you and your child - with the hopes of developing a reliable and trustworthy relationship.

How we bill for a Well Child Visit
Well child exams are billed to insurance with codes different from those used when you come in for a problem/illness related visit. Woodcreek Pediatrics - Mary Bridge Children's does not verify insurance benefits and it is your responsibility to know what your insurance plan covers.

Notice to Patients Regarding Preventative Health Examinations
Any examination considered preventative care, including but not limited to, Annual Physical Exams, Well Child Checks and Sports Physicals, may fall under a separate category of ‘preventative care’ benefits with your insurance carrier. Most insurance companies offer some form of a yearly preventative care benefit to their members. While it may be reasonable to speak to your provider about other concerns during a preventative care visit, this may result in additional charges to you.
In accordance with national medical coding and billing requirements, preventative care visits and visits to address existing or new concerns need to be billed separately. Whether you are establishing a new patient-doctor/provider relationship along with a preventative care visit or you are already an established patient, you may be billed separately to address any new or existing concerns.
If your insurance plan, for any reason, does not cover some or all of the charges, a portion of the remaining balance may become your responsibility. Estimates for the cost of services are available upon request to any of our front desk or scheduling staff.
