Premera Blue Cross Contract with MultiCare
5/22/2024 update: MultiCare has announced that it has come to terms with Premera on a new contract. We will stay in network for the foreseeable future!
MultiCare recently announced that their contract with Premera Blue Cross is set to end on June 1, 2024. They continue to try to reach an agreement. We know this can be very concerning to our patients and we would like to encourage you to visit MultiCare's update page for more information.

Primary Care Appointments Limited to Assigned PCPs
In early March, we sent letters to all patients seen by our primary care providers since Jan 1, 2021, informing their families of a new policy that begins on April 1, 2024: patients contacting us for well check and med check appointments, or for care related to their chronic conditions, will only be offered appointments with their assigned primary care provider. The letter is included below for more details.
To be clear, this is not the only reason you can see your PCP! You can book any appointment you need to with them. However, appointments for the above conditions will only be booked with your PCP going forward. If you need care for a sick child, any of the providers in your PCP's clinic are available to you - as is any Mary Bridge Urgent Care location.
Not sure if your child's PCP is listed correctly? Please refer to your letter, check what is listed in MyChart, or contact our office to confirm. We will be glad to update the records - though please note the restriction on your selection being a provider your child has seen in the last two years. You can submit your request to us via our Contact page (select PCP Reassignment).

Woodcreek Pediatrics Now Offers Sports Medicine
Woodcreek Pediatrics - Mary Bridge Children's is excited to announce a new specialty service available to the community: pediatric sports medicine. More information is available on our sports medicine page - if you have a young athlete in the home, our specialist can provide state of the art care and treatment, with referrals as needed to our partners at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.
Sports Physicals are Available in our Urgent Care Clinics
Back to school season is the busiest time of year for a pediatrics practice, and appointments can be hard to come by. Does your child need a sports physical? If so, consider a visit to one of our urgent care clinics - our providers can do a sports physical there if needed! If you want to be seen there, here's a few important things to know:
- Please be aware that insurers don't cover sports physicals provided in an urgent care setting. The 2023 fee is $99 and is payable when you check in for the visit. We do not bill later for this service.
- Walk-in availability in the urgent care clinics is very tight, so please book your appointment in advance. You can do so via our urgent care clinic page.
Want to Schedule a Virtual Visit?
We can now see patients virtually! Please head on over to our virtual visit page for information on how to set up your child's appointment.
Caring, Compassion and Quality.
