Scientific evidence shows the tremendous benefits that come with breastfeeding, and we're here to ensure every Woodcreek mom who wants to breastfeed has a positive and healthy experience.
Woodcreek Pediatrics - Mary Bridge Children's offers private lactation consultation appointments as well as breastfeeding classes, which are held in a group setting. All of our lactation classes are free to current Woodcreek Pediatrics - Mary Bridge Children's patients. Our private lactation consultations are available by appointment only and may be covered by insurance. |
Lactation Consultations
As a part of our lactation consultations we address concerns or problems mom and baby may be experiencing, and if necessary develop a plan to help alleviate the concerns. Some of the frequently addressed concerns are:
Though these are common areas of concern, our lactation consultants are able to help with many breastfeeding concerns, as well as offer reassurance and encouragement through one-on-one education. These services are only Thursdays and Fridays at our Bonney Lake clinic.

- Poor or slow weight gain with breastfeeding
- Difficulty with latching or position
- Low milk supply
- Breastfeeding with premature infants
- Mastitis or clogged milk ducts
- Soreness or engorgement
- Breastfeeding multiples, those with jaundice, or with tongue tie
- Obtaining or using a breast pump
