Conditions listed in bold below are injuries that occur only in children and adolescents; however, all the listed conditions are seen in our Pediatric Sports Medicine clinic.

- "Tommy John" injuries or ulnar collateral ligament strains/tears (the majority of young athletes will not encounter this type of injury despite the publicity it receives in national and mainstream media. The concern is understandable given the potential consequences to ability and the career. There is a higher likelihood for "Little League Elbow" and forearm strains in the youth population)

- Internal snapping hip (popping hip)
- Labral tears
- Other strains/minor tears: quadriceps, hamstring, groin, glute
- General back pain
- Back strain
- Spondylolysis or stress fractures

- Abdominal strains
- SCFE
Knee and Leg
Knee
- Osgood-Schlatter and Sinding-Larsen-Johannson
- Patellar tendonitis
- Ligament tears / sprains (ACL, PCL, MCL, LCL)
- Meniscus tears
- Knee cap or patellar instability: patellar subluxation, patellar dislocation
- Patellofemoral pain syndrome
- Osteochondral defects
- Shin splints
- Tibial stress fracture (can be related to Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport or previously known as "Female Athlete Triad")
- Fibular stress fracture
- Calf strain
- Ankle sprains
- Severs Disease (often thought of as achilles tendinitis or plantar fasciitis)
- Achilles tendonitis
- Ankle impingement
- Turf toe
- Flat feet
- Sesamoiditis (pain under the “ball of the foot”)
