Thomas Hernandez, MD, PhD
Pediatrics
Having practiced pediatrics since 1996, I am delighted to care for your child as part of our Woodceek family.
In addition to providing well-child care, I also provide care for all varieties of illnesses and injuries. I treat children with ADHD, depression, and other common behavioral health problems. I also provide care for allergies and asthma. In case you are wondering, my PhD is in Biochemistry. Initially, my interest was to do medical research, but I came to realize that I prefer "hands on care". However, my PhD training has served me well as it developed my problem-solving skills and taught me to be methodical.
Personally, I have three children including a daughter who will soon attend college, a son in middle school, and another daughter in elementary school. As a father, I believe it is important to be actively involved in my kids' lives, whether it means making sure their homework gets done (and turned in!); coaching them in basketball, soccer and T-Ball; or helping with piano practice. I encourage parents to make sure their kids are physically active and to keep the TV off as much as possible.
Y si, yo hablo Espanol, tambien.
