Calvin Kierum, Jr., MD
Pediatrics
Dr. Kierum practices general pediatrics for children of all ages.
He believes that his experiences as a parent add to his “book knowledge” learned in medical school. As a Christian, Dr. Kierum believes that it is important to represent the ethics and compassion of Jesus in his practice of medicine, which can include praying with patients, upon request.
Dr. Kierum maintains an ongoing relationship with a Christian hospital in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa. He went there for the first time in July of 2007 and has stayed in contact with the Congolese doctors and the ministry since then. His goal is to return to the Congo periodically to mentor and assist the staff and care for patients.
Dr. Kierum lives in the South Hill area with his wife and children. Outside of the office he enjoys outdoor activities, fishing, gardening, spending time with his family, and church activities.
